What is the Essential Eight Copilot?
The Essential Eight Copilot is an AI assistant that helps Australian organisations and federal contractors implement the ACSC Essential Eight Maturity Model — the prioritised mitigation strategies most strongly recommended by the Australian Cyber Security Centre.
Who should adopt the Essential Eight?
All Australian organisations are encouraged to adopt it as a baseline; non-corporate Commonwealth entities are required to reach Maturity Level Two under the PSPF. Many state, defence-industry, and critical-infrastructure tenders also require demonstrated maturity.
What does each Maturity Level mean?
ML0 = not implemented, ML1 = mitigates opportunistic adversaries, ML2 = adversaries with moderate tradecraft, ML3 = adaptive adversaries. The Copilot helps you scope what each level requires for each of the eight controls and plan upgrades incrementally.
